Cursor

Use APIMaster as a custom OpenAI-compatible backend in Cursor.

Cursor

Cursor lets you set a custom OpenAI API Key and Override OpenAI Base URL (wording may vary by version).

Setup

  1. Cursor Settings → Models (or Features → OpenAI API Key).

  2. Paste your APIMaster API key.

  3. Enable Override OpenAI Base URL and set:

    https://apimaster.ai/v1

  4. Choose or type a model id such as claude-sonnet-4-6 or gpt-5.4.

  5. Send a test message; confirm you do not get 401 / 404.

Tips

  • If the model picker is limited, try a custom model name with the exact id.
  • For streaming issues, test a non-thinking model first.
  • Pricing on the marketplace may differ from labels inside Cursor.
