Seedance Video Authenticity Check
Check whether a video matches the claimed Seedance 2.5 or 2.0 using its container, encoding settings, resolution, frame rate, and media information.
What this can and cannot prove
- The comparison uses encoding characteristics left by the generation and export process (container + x264 parameters), not frame-by-frame visual inspection.
- A match means the file characteristics align with standard 2.5 samples; it cannot by itself prove that every frame was generated by the 2.5 model.
- Platforms such as Tencent Cloud may re-encode videos and remove the original fingerprint. Those files are marked unable to determine rather than guessed.
- The baseline is collected from 34 natively generated Volcengine Ark videos, is valid for 30 days, and shows an expiry notice on the page.
Frequently asked questions
Upload the original MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, or M4V file exported directly by the generation tool. Avoid screen recordings, edited copies, or files that have been re-encoded by a hosting platform.
Not necessarily. It means the detectable encoding characteristics do not match the selected claim. Check whether the file was edited or re-encoded before treating the result as evidence of a different source.
The file does not contain enough reliable video or encoding information for a confident result. Re-encoding, missing metadata, unsupported containers, or an unavailable media probe can cause this status.
The video is sent to APIMaster’s verification service for analysis. It is not sent to other third-party platforms.
