Quick Answer

For a lower-priced alternative to Seedance 2.5 or 2.0, test Wan 3.0 Prime. For the lowest 720P starting price in this comparison, test Seedance Mini or Fast. If your workflow requires video editing or extension, check Seedance 2.5's documented capabilities first: those functions are currently blocked in APIMaster's Wan integration.

Checked 2026-11-04, 13:01 UTC. Prices are USD per output second, 720P, no reference-video input. Wan's reference is Alibaba Cloud Singapore / International list pricing; Seedance references are marketplace-configured rates, not independently reverified manufacturer quotes. Count enabled public routes only. The live marketplace card controls price, access and availability.

Wan 3.0 Prime vs Seedance: five-second video costs

The same model family can include both cheaper and more expensive options. At 720P for five seconds, the lowest checked enabled rates produce the following estimates. These exclude additional billable reference media, paid retries and taxes; they are not fixed quotes for every route.

Model Price / second Five seconds 100 five-second videos
Wan Prime $0.11004 $0.5502 $55.02
Wan INTL $0.1176 $0.588 $58.80
Seedance 2.5 $0.218916864 ~$1.095 ~$109.46
Seedance 2.0 $0.14321664 ~$0.716 ~$71.61
Seedance Fast $0.072503424 ~$0.363 ~$36.25
Seedance Mini $0.0376488 ~$0.188 ~$18.82

Ordinary Wan Prime costs about 49.7% less than Seedance 2.5 and about 23.1% less than Seedance 2.0 at these starting rates. Fast and Mini cost less than Wan. The 100-video figures multiply the unrounded rate; they do not indicate a bulk discount or 100 usable outputs.

Image-to-video, duration and editing: compare the actual API

These are documented APIMaster integration boundaries, not a complete comparison of everything the vendors advertise. Confirm that your route supports the operation before submitting.

For Wan's first-frame flow, see the Wan API reference. For Seedance, read the 2.5 API contract and Mini contract. Seedance 2.5's published 4K announcement does not establish a public 4K route for this comparison; check the 4K access guide.

Which video model fits your workload?

Short product or scene drafts: start with Wan if you want to evaluate Prime below the 2.5 / 2.0 starting budget. Start with Mini or Fast when unit cost matters most. Compare actual results before paying for a larger batch.

An existing image you want to animate: both families document image inputs. Use their respective frame fields and supported ratios; switching only the model ID in a route-specific payload is insufficient. A reference image can help set composition, but does not guarantee identity consistency.

An existing video you need to edit or extend: investigate Seedance 2.5's capability endpoint and source-media constraints. Do not submit a Wan editing payload merely because the official Wan model supports broader reference inputs.

A quality-sensitive final shot: evaluate both with the same brief and inspect the original downloaded files. This article supplies no measured basis for saying that either model has better motion, realism, audio or prompt adherence across workloads.

Run a fair Wan vs Seedance test

Use the same five-second brief, 720P output, aspect ratio and input image where compatible. Keep route and audio settings recorded, and score outputs without showing the model label. Inspect motion, subject stability, framing, audio when requested and suitability for the intended edit.

Track total paid spend ÷ accepted clips, alongside time to completion and failed tasks. A lower per-second price can be outweighed by more paid attempts. As a hypothetical example, two paid Wan attempts cost $1.1004 at the checked 720P rate, slightly more than one Seedance 2.5 attempt at about $1.095. This illustrates the arithmetic, not either model's observed retry rate.

For supplier-by-supplier purchasing, use the separate Wan API provider comparison. For resolution budgets and setup, use the Cheap Wan guide and Seedance price guide.

FAQ

Is Wan cheaper than Seedance?

At the checked 720P starting rates, ordinary Wan Prime is cheaper than Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, but more expensive than Fast and Mini. Match the model version, route and settings before comparing.

Which has better video quality?

No winner was established here. Use a controlled trial with your own scenes and original downloads; price tables and selected vendor demos do not establish a general quality ranking.

Can I use one API key for both?

APIMaster provides both families through one account and API key, subject to access and wallet balance. Their request fields, supported operations and billing rules still differ.

Is Wan INTL the cheaper Wan option?

Not in this snapshot: INTL is $0.1176/second at 720P versus ordinary Prime at $0.11004. Choose the exact product by its live card and documented controls.
